Museum Play Challenge

Bring your experiences to life and manifest a new pantheon of stories, art, and objects.

Youth are invited to create a digital interactive story, game, or mobile app inspired by a theme and special exhibition at the Portland Art Museum.

Winning projects, selected by a youth-adult council of peers, will be eligible for awards totaling $5000 from the Youth Play Fund awards.

Youth Play Fund

Award money is a program by Pixel Arts Game Education called the Youth Play Fund. The goal of the fund is to invest in youth creative imagination and design thinking by:

  • Providing stipends and operating funds to iterate on prototypes in games, apps, and digital stories
  • Connect professionals from Oregon’s digital storytelling cluster of industry sectors with youth makers
  • Create pathways for youth to independently publish their creations
  • Support youth entrepreneurship with play testing, pitch nights, crowdfunding, and investor circles

If you or your business would like to be part of the Youth Play Fund, please contact Jeffrey Sens, jsens (at) GameEducationPDX.com.
